Data collection

In principle, we do not collect any personal data from you when you visit this website. Personal data is collected when you voluntarily provide it to us in order to make a reservation or register for our newsletter. The specific personal data transmitted to the data controller is determined by the respective input screen.

Server-Log Files

As with any connection to a web server, the server of our web hosting provider automatically logs and stores certain technical data. This data includes: IP address and operating system of your device, date and time of access, type of browser, browser request including the origin of the request.

 The collection and storage of this data is necessary for technical reasons in order to provide you with a secure and stable website. The web hosting provider uses technical and organizational measures to protect this data from unauthorized access and does not pass it on to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so. As far as we process personal data (in particular the IP address), it is based on our legitimate interest in offering you an optimal user experience and in ensuring the security and stability of our systems.

Reservation

Should you make a reservation with us (e.g. by telephone, e-mail or via the online booking tool on our website), we will process the data you provide (such as name, contact details, number of people, date/time, special requests). This data is used exclusively for the administration, execution and confirmation of your reservation.

For online reservations we use the service of Aleno AG, Zurich, Switzerland. If you reserve using this tool, your data will be processed directly by Aleno AG to enable the reservation to be made. Please refer to the data protection provisions of Aleno AG, which can be found at this link (https://www.aleno.me/de/ppa). The legal basis for the processing of your reservation data is the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures or our legitimate interest in managing reservations efficiently.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter on our website, we ask for your e-mail address and your confirmation that you are the holder of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter (double opt-in procedure). You will only receive the newsletter if you give us your explicit consent to activate the newsletter beforehand. Further data may be collected voluntarily (e.g. name to address you personally). We use our newsletter to inform you about news, offers and events at our restaurant. The processing of your data for the newsletter dispatch takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent.

The newsletter is distributed using the mailing service provider Mailchimp. The privacy policy of the mailing service provider can be found here: https://mailchimp.com/de/legal/. The service provider is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in efficient and secure newsletter dispatch and, if applicable, on the basis of an order processing contract.

 You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter and to the storage of your data at any time, e.g. via the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the newsletter or by sending us a message. Your data will be stored for the newsletter mailing as long as your subscription is active. If Mailchimp is used, your data will be transferred to the USA. The USA is currently considered a third country without equivalent data protection. Nevertheless, we use Mailchimp as there are appropriate guarantees (standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission)
